All of us join in saying “Happy Holidays”

As we send greetings to friends and family near and far, remember, whether we’re together or apart, you share a special place in our hearts One of the real joys of the Holiday Season is the opportunity to share our family news.

We are so fortunate to be able to travel: a 50th anniversary trip to Hawaii in May, a fruitful fishing trip to New York in June, and a trip to rekindle old friendships to Bethlehem, Pa.

We are so happy to be able to visit our children and relatives: Chicago, State College, Medina, and Ocean City.

We love being able to make, teach and enjoy music: Piano studio recitals, chamber music concerts, Kiss Me Kate,
Oklahoma, Musicians Concert Band, Butler Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony
We enjoy being able to reap the benefits of the garden that we tend all year.
Our mother Flora is living at Newhaven Court, she will be 98 in January of 2008. Her health is good, having suffered a slight heart attack in October, but bouncing back quite well.

Our children, Vincent, Bryan, Christina, Michael, and Victoria all continue to enjoy the fruits of their labor and continue to make us proud to have had something to do with their success. They all generously planned and carried out an inspiring week of celebration in August in honor of our 50th anniversary.

Michael and Dawn are expecting their first child in April; bringing our grandchildren roster to ten. Sadly, they bid a farewell to their Border collie friend of fifteen years in June.

Our growing talented grandchildren continue to make us proud with their attempts and achievements. They are all doing quite well and we are proud of all of them.

We hope this holiday is a safe, healthy, happy one for you and your family. Please let us hear from you from cyber space, our e-mail is and our website is

Love to all, Claudette and Jim

The House is For Sale

Dawn and I listed our house on Thursday 11/09/2007. We had a showing on Friday and an offer in hand by Friday night. Please follow this link,, to the realtors web site. We do not know where we will be going, but we plan to rent back from the new owners until August 2008. In the mean time we are persuing a house in our old neighborhood and hope to get our hands on this property and then do a renovation. We will see how things work out...

Vicky Has Surgery

On Wednesday November 7Th, Vicky had surgery to remove an ovarian cyst. Once the surgeon was inside, she discovered that it would be impossible to remove the cyst without doing other, perhaps severe damage to other organs. So, she left it in there, secure in the knowledge that it is not growing, nor is there any danger of it breaking up. Vicky is recovering from the cut well and should be home in a few days.
