2008 Holiday Letter

Happy Holidays

As we send greetings to friends and family near and far, remember, whether we’re together or apart, you all share a special place in our hearts. In the midst of the holiday rush, shopping and wrapping and sending gifts to loved ones far and near, remember that the best gift you can give is your love. Listen to the magical music of Christmas and keep the enchantment in your hearts all through the year.

We are so fortunate to be able to travel: February to Florida, April to Virginia Historic House and Garden Tour with McGuirks, September to New England with Koehlers.
We are so happy to be able to visit our children and relatives: Chicago, State College, and Medina.
We love being able to make, teach and enjoy music: Piano studio recitals, chamber music, concerts, Musicians Concert Band, Butler Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony
Our mother Flora is living at Newhaven Court, she will be 99 in January of 2009. Her health is good and her memory is excellent. We are thankful to have her with us.

Our children, Vincent, Bryan, Christina, Michael, and Vicky and their families, all continue to enjoy the fruits of their labor and continue to make us proud to have had something to do with their success. Nick, Vicky’s husband, is now Chief of the Bureau of Fire for the City of Butler.

On April 26th, Bruno Joseph Sanzotti. our tenth grandchild, was born in State College to Michael and Dawn Sanzotti. He is a wonderful child and a happy lad. Erik Sanzotti graduated from Wheaton North High School in May and has matriculated at Northern Illinois State in September. Damien has accepted a teaching position in the Berlin MD school District and Jessica is the Marketing Director for Chesapeake Physical Therapy. Our growing talented grandchildren continue to make us proud with their attempts and achievements. They are all doing quite well and we are proud of all of them.

We hope this holiday is a safe, healthy, happy one for you and your family. Please let us hear from you from cyber space, our e-mail is and our family blog,
Please support our new President, Barak Obama, as he attempts to restore our country to previous greatness.

Wishing you all things bright and beautiful, Claudette and Jim, December 2008

A Lot To Be Thankful About!

A nice gathering for turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings occured in Butler. It was great to have everyone home, healthy and happy. We are thankful for that and for how well we all get along together. Bruno was the center of attention on Friday, he is growing and still is a happy guy. It was great to have Bryan and family here, and Mike and Dawn stopped in from a trip to Florida. Erik was home from his first year at NIS, Damien was able to stop in with Kate and her mother Chris. All the granddaughters demostrated beauty and talent in some form. They are all developing into wonderful young ladies. We all gathered Friday for an early gift exchange that proved to be the wave of the future. Thank you all , we love you.
